The Lazy Cat Story

" Lazy Cat Carpentry started off as a bit of a dream, something I'd always wanted to do but never quite got around to. I've been working with wood for as long as I can remember fitting kitchens with my dad when I was young and always tinkering away at projects. After spending five years as an engineer in the Army , I came back to carpentry, working on all sorts of jobs, big renovations, small fixes, custom builds - whatever needed doing!
I've worked self-employed as a carpenter and maintenance guy for numerous holiday homes, businesses, and domestic clients across Cornwall and the South West, but I always wanted to build a business of my own. That's where Lazy Cat Carpentry comes in. In early 2025, we moved back to my partner's home town of Shropshire and with her support, decided to take the leap and turn my passion into a business, and now I get to spend my time doing what I love. "
